The images he took told stories.
They had a meaning
a purpose.
When I came across many of his photos one word came to mind
STRUGGLE
From this word I began to create a link:

Many of the pictures he took in Latin America were though provoking. I was able to look at them and imagine how it would be to live in a country like those.
People’s faces seemed sad and distressed.
Here in America we have an abundance of everything and yet many families still argue and are disrupted by insignificant external possession.
That is when I began to notice the families and children in Sebastian Salgado’s work. Most of the people were poor but stuck together. Some moms were desperately clinging on to their newborns. In this picture there is an elderly lady with two kids. That is when these words came to mind:
FAMILY
CHILDREN
UNITY
PERSEVERANCE
STRENGTH.
